THE TRAVEL BUG

"not all those who wander are lost"

~ j.r.r. tolkien

To wander, to travel, to roam - it has always been and continues to be a passion for me. Having moved around the world at a young age - spending years in Vancouver, Ontario, and most impactfully, England - the desire to move and explore is something that has always been there for me.

The traveller sees what he sees. The tourist sees what he has come to see...
— G.K. Chesteron
My most character-building years were spent in a small town outside of London called Esher, a stones throw from some of the most unique, diverse and culturally stunning countries in the world. And as a family we took advantage of the opportunities to spend time in most. Unfortunately, while such journies can be incredibly impressionable, so comes a lack of appreciation at a young age. I've rolled my eyes at the Mona Lisa, stomped my feet while being ushered through the Vatican, and complained while waiting in line for the Eiffel tower. That said, in hindsight, I am forever thankful for the opportunities presented, and the fire it created inside of me to explore new places, meet new people, and embrace new cultures.

My number one goal in life is to visit 50 countries in 50 years, 60 by 60 and so on - and while sometimes this means playing catch up and visiting 3 or 4 in one trip, I am on pace to continuously crush my goal. Feel free to peruse my adventures and photos below!
